The Chronicle's legendary NUFC writer John Gibson has selected his greatest-ever Newcastle players and managers, penning tributes to these icons of the beautiful game, famed for their footballing brilliance on Tyneside and beyond.
Gibbo has picked 35 of his favourites from the Toon's storied history. From Alan Shearer, the Premier League's greatest-ever goalscorer, to the other local legend whose record Big Al broke, Jackie Milburn, as well as Hughie Gallacher and SuperMac, there are goals galore.
The genius of Gazza, the heroics of Bob Moncur, the formidable feats of Joe Harvey are all here as we go down the decades, all the way back to Newcastle's first great side that won three league titles between 1905 and 1907 and back up to the present day, with special features on the glorious Carabao Cup-winning side and its manager, Eddie Howe.
